New website for my graphic design business is up and running! If you have enjoyed this blog, then please head to www.crushedlime.com.au, check it out and show your support socially on facebook or twitter. It means a lot to me. The website includes my portfolio, my new blog and other interesting little things. All sorts of graphic design services are available, just contact me at email@example.com
Thankyou! I will no longer be posting onto this site.
I have taken the next step in my graphic design career and registered my business name. This is a very exciting step for me and I am really looking forward to the whole experience. Everyone starts out somewhere!
Thankyou for supporting my blogging these last few months. Audacious Me began for a marketing assignment, but I grew to love the interaction that it requires. I am now working as a freelance graphic designer under the title Crushed Lime. The name just came to me one day; I love the freshness in the two words colliding; it sounds crisp and this is one of the things that I love about graphic design. CLEAN CRISP FRESH MODERN CREATIVE.
I am sure you can appreciate how daunting the process of starting up a freelance business can be; so please show your support by following my facebook Crushed Lime page. It will update you on all sorts of things creative, link you to my website, but most of all – it will mean a lot to me and the future of my graphic design career.
Click here to support my graphic design career. It’s as easy as ‘liking’ my facebook page.
I am in the process of working on the Crushed Lime website. I am planning to launch it in about a weeks time. I will post the link on here when the website is all up and running. The Crushed Lime site will be a portfolio and blogging platform aiming to provide information for potential clients and, of course, also people who just generally like to check out inspirational finds in the world that have caught my eye.
Coldplay have always used creative clips for their music. Strawberry Swing is one of my favourites though. The whole thing is drawn from chalk, take a look.
Anyone who knows me well enough, knows that I have always been a loyal lover of the harry potter series. I read the first book when I was nine and I have enjoyed reading ever since. The final movie looks brilliant; the directors are amazing to be able to express the indepth story line so vividly in only a few hours. I’m looking forward to watching!
I am currently working on a “artists book” for myself. It will be filled with things that I think are beautiful. The pages will be bound together and contain a mixture of photographs and hand drawn destruction. Here are some of the latest photographs that I have taken for the project. Stay tuned for more photos and destructive scribbles.
Special shout-out to my lovely model and her sexy legs.
good old lead pencil
I felt the urge to draw last night. It was great picking up a pencil, it has been a while since I drew without an intention or purpose. The image was inspired by my friends. We had a photo like this one taken a few years ago and it is up on my wall of my office with me everyday. I love it. I then took my drawing further by using textures and layers of colour.
I just found the most interesting illustrator/designer. Thankyou google! The drawings are so raw yet full of imagination.
See their site >>>
I love the texture of the images, the drawings give so much depth. I haven’t quite worked out exactly where in the world this designer is located but I think they might be somewhere in the middle east. I have found much inspiration today from their drawings. Take a look:
