Back to the Future

This site was pointed out to me and I think it’s just fabulous. The photographer takes a photograph of a person to match a photo that they have of themselves from years ago. It’s such a great concept and I feel that it is something that many of us would be interested in doing. Here is what the photographer has written about it:

“I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future.

2010 ONGOING PROJECT…
by the way, this project made me realise Im a bit obsessive…

Looking for some cliches now…someone with an old picture:
in LA next to the walk of fame
in NY posing with statue of liberty or times sq
in Paris next to tour eiffel
in Berlin next to teh berlin wall”

  1. Theses are really cool photos! Its interesting to see how much some people have changed especially the lady with tattoos!! Makes me want to find some old photos myself and photograph away.

  2. these are great ‘time lapse life’ photos! getting the colours right really makes such a big differnce. yeah, the lady with the tats…….. i have never seen a pattern like that on the neck………… or anywhere.

  3. I’ve seen these before – so clever! I can’t believe how specific they get with some of them.
